Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2025

A surface-to-air missile…... The discovery of the cause of autoimmune disease which leads the immune cells attacking the body instead of defending it, earned the discoverers the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The scientists who made the discovery are the American scientist Mary Broncho, American scientist Frederick Ramsdell, and Japanese scientist Shimon Sakaguchi. Sakaguchi discovered the regulatory immune cells (T cell), and Frederick and Mary discovered the mutation in the gene that responsible for the development of T cell. The mutation make T cell considered that the body cells are foreign cells and attacking them like the microorganisms.
